I love it when it gets dark earlier and you can get indoors all nice and cosy.

Only 2 months till the nights start getting lighter again.

This. I love drawing the curtains and settling down with the lamps on and my Yankee candles lit.

Cannot wait for the snow to start. Love being sat here in the conservatory, lights minimal, snuggled up and watching the snow softly fall down...soooooooooooooooooo romantic

Sad that the summer (what we had of it) is over, but enjoy the cosy nights in front of the fire...room temperature up means fewer clothes required...

I will miss the light evenings though as I've been out walking regularly over the summer.

I tend to draw my curtains as the tilt of the earth's axis equates to less sunlight in what we describe as winter

I'm remembering to draw the curtains before I switch the lights on now... standing there with the lights on starkers is just blatant flashing apparently!

Wasn't a problem while there was enough daylight

I love this time of year, then again I'm in to Astronomy so summer nights are no good for stargazing

Got emories of sitting looking through my scope about frozen solid outdoors in winter, and doing similarly daft things handtracking satellite dishes for their telemetry outdoors with the long leaded phones on as earmuffs...

Happy days :P
