Hey ho

You lot hope all is well in the world of fab

Anyways I’ve been having a bit of a wobble in my life …. (Warning this may go deep )

There’s something missing !

Right so I’m in a very good position in that I’m what some would say “living the dream “

Living/working on a yacht in the south of France

But…. A big but ….

I’m not all that happy

I miss the connection with family and friends back home

So my question to you is …. What’s missing in your life ?

Doesn’t have to be deep (unless that’s what you desire ) if it’s fun / sexy / a certain someone

Let me know

Mental space and time.

My heart is filled with love, my house is filled with laughter but my mind is filled with all the bad and only snippets of good. I'm so disconnected from everything and everyone, there's no desires. Just surviving day by day because that's the best I can do right now.

That was deep, sorry

I'm missing out on being on a yacht, living the dream in South of France

Just kidding OP, I hear you with that. Was always a big miss when travelling and working overseas.

I've just recently come out of isolating, while isolating decided to get the old six string out attic and found out I've missed playing about on it (not greatly I might add)

Sometimes that's all we can do - just keep going and find the little nuggets of happiness. Hope you find some space soon

As a character in one of my favourite movies once said:

I'm just a fucked up girl looking for my own peace of mind.

My overthinking and constant worries are ruining my happiness on a daily basis. I wish I was able to switch off, enjoy life and find my peace of mind.

It sounds like you are homesick OP, sending hugs xx

I miss being in a relationship if I am honest, sharing intimacy, laughs, beds, hugs, stresses and hopes and dreams with someone.

Since I became since in 2018 it is someone at home and peace of mind re finances.

As a single person is hard to juggle everything and I find I'm am worried all the time about bills and how to pay them.

I'm so sick of living pay day to pay day and being unable to save anything.

I work all week but am seriously thinking of finding some weekend work to boost the bank balance although then I'd miss my "me time" then instead.

Hmmmm so I miss the old me ! The one that I was before I ended up in a relationship with an abusive narcissist who managed to strip me of me and make me into a wreck who is scared to leave there home! After 6 years I’d had enough my children were older and it was affecting them so much …… fast forward a year since I told him to duck off , we are the happiest we have ever been !

I’m starting to slowly regain myself! One step at a time!

I treasure my sanctuary that is my home and my babies and I know now how strong I am and I will get myself back!!!

Usually just little riffs I picked up. Started out on Bass at school. Was a big RHCP fan round that time. Play Wish you were here as find it such a relaxing song to play.

Can't sing and play at same time I'm afraid

Will you get chance to meet up with family and friends in near future?

I don't think you have anything to apologise for as it does affect your day to day life. If it is any consolation I don't think you are the only one with these thoughts/feelings. At the height of the first lockdown my last remaining family (parents/siblings) member was dying in hospital and I only got to see him for 3 hours at the very end.

If I got through the day and into bed at night without any dramas I was relieved and that gave me a boost for the next day.

OP, you have my admiration. Being confronted with your mortality at a young age is incredibly traumatic, so very well done for getting on with life and exploring new opportunities. Your family will be full of pride in the path you have taken, which will make you - in time - an even stronger (but not in the Nietzsche way) person, to whom others will look for inspiration and support. There’s real fulfilment in that.

I think there are aspects in all different parts of my life that seem to just be crumbling rather than evolving and it's getting very close to caving. I've had an unbelievably stressful month at work alongside being a mother and helping other people with their problems that mine are getting further and further behind.

We've got a few trips away booked and planned so looking forward to those but they still need time dedicated them to organise the bits you don't really concentrate on (childcare, dog/house sitters, food in for the sitters, tidy house etc)

These years when you have responsibility for children, work etc are among the most stressful you'll ever have in your life and people will just assume that it's easy. It's not! Being a parent is such an important thing and consumes you, add work, relationship, other people (they shouldn't be loading you with their problems) into that mix and it's no wonder you're lost. Just going away for a short break involves so much admin that you start to wonder if it's worth it but everyone tells you how marvellous it's going to be.

I don't know you of course but I wouldn't mind betting that you're doing a great job with everyone and everything else and neglecting yourself. You can ask for help or drop some of the responsibility, it's ok.

We've had a family member stay with us for a week and his dog so them being gone we can get the house back to relative normal. It's far too much for me to do in the evenings when I need to sort the kids so my mum is round today ticking a few things off the list for me. Beds changed, hoovered, bathroom cleaned, windows cleaned. It seems like such small tasks but it's time consuming doing it alone.

(but with my mum here I feel guilty that she can't clean her own house, do her own thing). Mum guilt is real!

What's missing most is the inane chat of the office. I've been working from home for 22 months and I miss bumping into someone in the office on the way to the kitchen and just having a natter. Being able to bitch about work or be surprised at how old their kids have gotten.

Plus my friends all got married and moved away and I haven't seen them in an age. Phone calls aren't quite the same as sitting around and joking together.

I've had to make do with being with my husband all the time and having gratuitous amounts of sex instead
