The bright side

Ok, I'm in a grump so things to be pleased about:

I, my family and my pets are healthy save for comparatively minor problems.

It's raining but I don't have to be out in it.

I got a bargain on eBay yesterday and it's something I really need.

I don't have to drive 200 miles today.

My car passed its MOT without costing a fortune. It needs a new exhaust system but can wait until I can afford it, I think.

I have a brilliant job, and I know I am valued there.

I have an appointment tomorrow to begin something difficult but very worthwhile and beneficial.

I have a few really good friends, one of whom I was able to help a couple of days ago. They've helped me a lot lately, so it's nice to be able to give something back.

I have the ability to work out how to achieve what I want in life and to do it. Motivation is the stumbling block sometimes, and that's fixable.

Oh, and grey and rainy is, at least, not icy and snowing!

"Definitely a glass half full kinda person then?"

I'm having to work at it a bit at the moment, I admit.

I should remember I have a lot to be thankful for even if I'm not as fortunate as some.

in the night garden

A little heart warming incident happened at lunch today at my work cafe.

The chef absent mindedly picked up the hot grill/sandwich flattener thing's handle and burnt his hand. In his shock he some how pulled it off the shelf and dropped it and my cheese toasty on his feet.

Magical.
