I use them in my role now, though without a tie or vest. I do like the look of them and it increases my presentation when assessing patients.

I work in an industry where I see men in suits regularly, and some men look amazing in them. I've seen quite a few that obviously don't like wearing them though, and you can tell instantly ...they're off the peg, don't fit well, and they just look uncomfortable.

Spending my (outside of work life) in sport gear I never owned dress shoes, then when I changed career I was lost picking shoes when matching them to suits,so always bring a fashion savie female with me when it shoe shop time, they never get it wrong,

I was in Dallas 2 years ago and guys wearing stunning suits with cowboy boots underneath,, was well cool looking. Not something I thought I'd ever say.

I actually went and got fitted for a pair, but I'd never try em with a suit,, our suit trousers are a different cut this side of the pond, but they Deffo work with an old pair of Levis.

I work with men in uniform (I wear the same uniform) and that makes me go a little unnecessary sometimes but recently a couple went to head office so wore suits and I got very flustered when I saw them. One winked at me when he saw me and I swear I almost came on the spot

Totally get the appeal and can see why lots of others, of all genders & sexualities, find them alluring but I really don’t like wearing them… might just be down to context - job interviews and funerals mostly. Sometimes have to wear one for work and usually take it off at the first opportunity.

I detest wearing suits because they are symbols of wealth and elitism, which then leads in to symbols of power, and finally arrives as clothing of those who oppress and control.

And the whole culture of encouragement and expectation to adorn these symbols, negatively reinforces the whole "suits as power" thing, and subverts some to feel inadequate if they are not wearing a suit and for others to "suit shame" those that don't engage in this game.

As a piece of clothing, it's nice, but it comes with so much hostile baggage, the whole idea is tainted.

Suits are modern day armour, and what do we wear armour for ? To do battle and project power. It perpetuates the subconscious belief that we must always be at war with each other. That we cannot be ourselves, but must don a guise to project an illusion.
