1. He did his job (based upon him being a police officer)
2. I'd not want to be reward with sex acts based upon nothing other than it just being a reward

Technically speaking, Craig didn't actually do his job. What he did do was pervert the course of justice to protect the prosecution of his girlfriend Faye and her mate Emma.
If you add to this his guilt in covering for the racist harassment of Whethey County football star James Bailey by a colleague then rather than resign, he could quite confidently apply for a job in the Met where he'd fit in quite nicely.

We was going out to Leeds from castleford before he lost all that weight, and some kids that was waiting for the same train was like mam is that him. He never looked over and this little girl came over and said please can I have a picture with you? He was like yes of course then the mam came running over lol |
