There is a big difference between saying a kink isn’t for you, whilst acknowledging that it might be someone else’s kink and respecting that. Without making derogatory/shaming comments towards the kink.
You don’t have to like anything but it’s about respecting others that might like it, and will feel hurt reading comments like it’s disgusting or it’s gross because to them it’s not…
It’s not aimed at anyone btw it’s just my opinion. |

There’s a bit difference between giving an opinion, and ridiculing people, and trying to make them feel like shit though.

I agree if someone is ridiculing someone personally then no it’s not on at all and I’m one of the first who would comment on that kind of thing. But if someone is giving their general opinion on something whether it’s a kink/body size/cock size etc and not aiming it a particular individual then I don’t see the issue. |

Me neither. I’d never do a thread like that. But I do get why people do and that sometimes support helps and that people can get upset by personal insults/messages. I’ve always been supportive on here and I’ve never got personal. I’ve disagreed a hell of a lot but never got personal. Same with my opinions on certain things, they’re not personal they’re general. |

I rarely comment on here anymore for that simple reason. Recently I was told my comments were disparaging for simply expressing my opinion. These days it seems like one can't make a single comment without being pulled on it. I should be able to speak negatively of someone's kink interest without being called disparaging! Or do we have to agree with everything?

Honestly, just talk about what you want and accept whatever comes from it. Be it positive, negative, if you feel bullied or if you feel welcomed.
Or don't accept those things and don't.
It really is as simple as that, you have issue with the same thing as other people. Moaning about you can't do something without it being attacked by others.
It is just how things and people work. No there is no need for anyone to get nasty and aggressive but really, it's going to happen regardless. |

As someone relatively new here, well two years now, I noticed that it's the same as anywhere else and indeed the real world. There are those of us that enjoy a bit of banter, learning something and sharing opinions, knowledge and ideas in general - mainly about cake and other food admitedly. There are those who like to be the centre of attention but in a harmless manner so can live with that. Those that light fires and sometimes contribute but mostly sit on the side and see it all unravel. Then there those who are abusive and ill mannered and can't respect anyone else's opinion or hold a civilised debate. As many have said, ignore/block/report those that deserve it and just interact with those you have something in common. It is what it is unfortunately. |
