If Levy doesn’t put his hand in his tight pocket I can see Conte going, even after the season has started. Levy obviously has the gift of the gab but come on managers you’ve only got to look at the past to see he doesn’t like spending money and doesn’t keep his promises |

My partner is a Spurs fan and she’s a sceptic too. Easy for me to have faith, I’ve not been let down by them for years. Fingers crossed there will be investment even if it’s just spending profit from players like Ndombele going. |

With Auba in Barcelona I wonder if Arsenal find any cash to go and get a loan deal done.
Also keeping a keen eye on Newcastle- Bruno from Lyon is a good signing. |

Doctors have obviously cleared him to play. What a signing for Brentford though. On his day he is World Class and surely head and shoulders above anyone else in that squad. |

Don’t know what you or others think of this but I find it distressing (not an exaggeration) watching Spurs defend in the post Jan x Toby era. Don’t think they ever replaced either of them when they were no longer at their peaks and they settled because Levy didn’t want to invest? Dier, Davies and Sanchez at CB is not a top side in English football. That’s where I’d invest. Rant over |

But anyway, I agree with you on the not adding to the pot. It’s the hope that kills you. I hadn’t read the £10M reports- I think you could comfortably get £10M-£15M Alli in today’s market. I saw how much Chris Wood went for. |
