I'm the only guy working with 5 women. A 6th in another work group on a bank of desks chats to the 5 in my group, after sharing compliments with each other etc.. Or general chat, she's smiling and laughing, then loks at me with a blank stare for a moment, I look away as if I wasn't listening and she returns to the other bank of desks.
Not being savvy with socialising with women as I e always worked with groups of guys from army and male dominated settings, is she displaying a problem with me? Just asking I'm not rattled just curious

Then you won’t have a problem "

"What kind of stare? X
Blank, mouth closed, her eyes narrow and lasts for about 3 or 4 seconds, not a pleasent stare.

Probably nothing. I have worked as the only male in teams many times, best thing is to concentrate on your job and get involved if invited. If the conversation turns to something unpleasant or uncomfortable then point it out and ask them to conduct personal and private conversations elsewhere. |

On the occasions I work in the office I am around more women than men and the women are virtually predatory. They are often making flirty comments and inuendo. Fortunately I'm not the delicate type. |

I've often worked in environments where there's only been one man and quite a few women. We rarely discussed "girly" stuff and always included the guy as another human being in general conversation, excluding one member of a team is not pleasant. How old are these women? |

I haven't looked at the others, though I think they've noticed but nothing said.
Still early days I suppose, I've been there a month now. Might be because she can't talk about things she doesn't want men to hear.
I'll see how it goes and possibly ask her in confidence if it gets worse
