This equally applies to both ladies and gents

"58 in May. Over 55 seems to be the 'too old' aka ancient cut-off as far as I can tell "
I'm the same age but although I don't get many meets the people I do get approach me are mature, serious and not time wasters on the whole so I quite like being in a niche market. You just have to make your profile pic interesting to grab the eye and have a decent follow up bio. |

"I'll be ancient when an arse slap emits a choking dust .....
Right now i'm on the cusp of aridity without a good ole handle crank. Failing that lob some axle grease on"

"Ancient I am then. "
If you label yourself ancient that's how people will see you.
I got fed up last week because I can't easily carry two shopping bags up the hill any more. I'm getting older, it sucks sometimes but it's way preferable than the alternative. |

"I think, for guys, 30-45 are your prime years on here
I originally joined in my early 40's and the interest was certainly higher then that it is now "
I think the absolute prime age for a guy here is 44-47, all the women love you thinking your mature wise but not old |

You can't deny your chronological age but you can keep a youthful (I can't stress enough that this does not mean immature) attitude and outlook.
Tell yourself often enough that you're past it and guess what... |

Think I’m probably the most ancient on the forum. Don’t think I’m even young at heart anymore.
I was alive when King George was on the throne . I remember Bognor before Butlins too
On the downward slope now |
