Camper Van fun

southampton

I’ve just started the conversion on my Camper Van (Transporter type) and it will be finished in 6 weeks or so.

I’ve seen a few posts before about people meeting and having fun in such vehicles, is this generally seen as an exciting thing or does it seem a bit creepy and like something from a scary movie?!

Based in Southampton, I have the whole coast to enjoy so wondered if it would expand on my “Fab life” or if it would make me seem a bit dodgy!

Does anybody have any experience of this type of thing?

To me, it would feel a bit like a knocking shop on wheels. And I’d probably think the guy a bit cheap. So it’s not for me and I’d probably have an attack of the giggles going back there.

That said, I hope you enjoy your campervan when it’s ready. It must take a lot of blood, sweat and tears.

Good luck.

Well that depends on the setting op

Like next to a famous land mark or high street or outside some football grounds or something could be quite thrilling knowing people are walking past as in the back doing things playing a little game off one trying to keep the mones and screams down so people walking past and such don’t hear and the other one trying they best to make people hear

Or if you going to park it in a well know carvan site

On the flip side

If your going to pick someone up in the dead off night and go to a woody arena yes it would come off as scary movie type and god no

Hey OP

It wouldn't be for us but just had to say how jealous I am of you converting your van, we've wanted a campervan for years and hoping to get one in the not so distant future to convert too.

Good luck with the conversion

Xx

A camper is lots of fun even without meeting up for sex.

There’s a whole board on the forums here relating to camping. Scroll down down down and it’s there.

Regular campsites can be a bit tricky because you can’t exactly have a small sex party when people are putting their kids to bed. There are sometimes events on though

I like the idea of doing a conversion, but a lack of the skills, plus my general hatred of DIY type work prevents me. Fair play to you OP for doing it. I’m envious.

"I always have lots of offers when I say I’m in mine "

An attractive woman such as yourself wouldn’t be short of offers no matter where she was. She could update to say she was in the Lidl bogs, and the checkout queue wouldn’t be the only one!

I had a couple approach me about meeting in their camper, thought it sounded fun, but had to decline as the time wasn't convenient to me.

Keep an eye out for camper vans with a small potted pampas grass on the dash board when parked up.

I never thought that I'd see myself doing this but because of covid risks of inter mingling, I bought a Peugeot Expert Tipee wheelchair adapted vehicle with lowered floor last January. It was mainly to get my disabled mum and all her equipment up to my place in Fife, Scotland, but I've made adaptations to use it as a camper van for overnight stays when I have cover for my mum. I'm now discovering hidden gems in this country that I never knew existed. Wish I'd thought about the idea years ago.
