Inspired by a post on another thread

Are you making anything at the moment? Sewing, welding, painting, cooking... anything creative.

Practicing making babies does not count for the purposes of this thread

I’m nearly finished a knee blanket I started last May, in crochet. I’ve kinda lost the mojo. Was doing it for an elderly friend who was housebound with COPD, a friend of hers daughter who works in occupational therapy managed to get her a wheelchair so she could be taken out. But she died within 2 weeks of getting it and didn’t get a chance to use it. One day when I finish it, I’ll donate it to a charity for the elderly.

I'm doing a couple of cross stitch pieces, one is a Christmas tree, the other is flowers in a heart.

I have been given a painting by numbers picture to do, it's aimed at adults, i don't have any interest in doing it plus i have Essential Tremors so it's impossible for me (i can just about manage cross stitch). Last year the same person gave me a book showing how to fold pages in books to make a heart etc !!

If anyone would like them they are free to a good home

Will shortly be sat back at my desk where I will need to choose between designing numerous bits of specialist hospital furniture, a shrink wrapper head, a platform or some brackets. I won't actually make the hospital stuff, if I get the go ahead I won't make but will install the platform and won't machine but will build the shrink wrapper. The brackets will leave me as a drawing and next time I see them they will be made and installed.

Before that though I will be making a rhubarb and apple crumble.

I taught myself in the lockdown of 2020 using YouTube a week before my birthday, a month later I made a scarf, it was supposed to be an infinity scarf but the yarn was too thick. Follow Bella Coco on YouTube for really good instructions, there are also crocheting groups on Face book if on there

I should be getting on sewing 10,000 3mm black spangles onto lace panels...

Already sewn 10,000 spangles and umpteen 3mm black beads on to lace, then to silk satin for a train 3m 35cmish long.

With covid however, the outfit probably will never be finished since I can't use it at present...

I've just cast off a 1950's vintage baby knitted cardi. I had to translate everything, as needle size, yarn and wording has compleatly changed in the 70 years it was printed.

A freind wanted me to knit it, for her first grandchild. I've now handed it to her to compleate the crochet edge. She dosn't knit. I don't crouchet. So between us we can do it.

Next is to spin some fleece on my spinning wheel. I always have some sort of fiber project on the go. - fem.

Yes and sell them on eBay or give them as gifts... you can only give so many as gifts.

I never frame my cross stitch, i had designed and sewn one for my then hubby for valentines day, he threw it away !! However I have given some as cards over the years, some were framed by the recipients.

My now hubby wants to frame some but i simply enjoy doing them

I buy frames from charity shops and use those rather than having them custom framed.

I prefer to do smaller pieces, which can be framed easily with tape once backed.

I won't actually make the hospital stuff, if I get the go ahead I won't make but will install the platform and won't machine but will build the shrink wrapper. The brackets will leave me as a drawing and next time I see them they will be made and installed.

Before that though I will be making a rhubarb and apple crumble.

I've lost my creative mojo but I was working on a new design of origami flowers for mothers day, some seaglass/ sea pottery and pebble pictures in frames and i've got several patchwork blankets to do but I really can't be bothered.

I'd absolutely love to be able to knit or crochet but I just can't get my head around it no matter how gard I try.

I think it's a bit like writer's block, hopefully it'll come back and you'll get started on your projects again.

I'm always on the lookout for seaglass and driftwood but rarely find any.

What's sea pottery?
