Back of Nowhere and Beyond |
I've just been paid back some money by a friend. If I'm honest, I wasn't expecting it back and had written it off so it's a nice surprise and a bonus (mid 2 figures as opposed to something life chamging).
So..... do I do the sensible thing and hold on to it until needed or until my next road trip in 3 weeks..... or do I blow it on a glass butt plug and some new underwear?
Or do I do something else with it?
Gimme some ideas fabbers!
Posh |

spend it, unless you have no savings at all.
Serious aside I'm watching my very old parents sit on money they could be using to make their life way more comfortable. Enjoy it now and use it to make your life more pleasurable |

"Well it depends how much you have day to day.
I'm going to be a bore and say save it - putting it towards good experiences with friends is more memorable than putting it in your arse."
too funny. Meli has a very valid point Posh. Keep hold of it until you really need to spend it |

Can I ignore the "unless you have no savings at all" part.....
Can you not convince them to use it? It's so hard when they get to that stage. |

You're very lucky to get that money back. Treat yourself to that road trip! An ex owes me over a grand but I wrote that off a long time ago. I was lucky to get back 300. Enjoy it OP, whatever you decide x |

"Road trip money
See Peach.... you're basically my guru.... so I can't argue with that dammit.
But the pretty knickers "
No you can't argue.
My logic is this. You have the road trip covered now, so if something financial happens (anything, new fridge needed say) you will hopefully afford both and not need to blow off the road trip to cover the unexpected expense.
Whereas if you don't put it to one side and spend it, you wouldn't have it there ready and waiting so would need to then afford the new fridge AND the road trip out of the same income.

you can ignore it, we spent the first fifty odd years of our life with nothing more than what we had in our wallets.
Trust me if I could convince my parents of anything I would |

Putting it in my arse *could* be memorable....
But talking out of myvarse with the bunch of degenerates I'll be seeing next month will be more memorable I guess.
Dammit. This is not going how I'd hoped |

Plus it isn't life changing so I wouldn't even give it a second thought. |

Dammit. I'm gonna have to save it now |

Logically thing and sensible thing to do would be to save it
But on the other hand
Butt plug and lingerie is a hard one to beat
Even harder to beat when you can ware the butt plug and lingerie out on your trip |

As you appear so conflicted as to what to do with it I think the only real solution is to give it to me |
