Now… being a New York ish person… I don’t normally feel sorry for those people! I have felt more sorry for Tottenham being an Arsenal fan! ..
Anyway… winter storm coming this weekend, being described as a cyclone bomb, my garden in lovely Long Island is forecast to get 8 to 12 inches of snow!!
The lovely people of Boston… bullseye central.. predicted to be getting 65 mph winds and somewhere between 3 to 7 feet of snow (up to 84 inches!!!!!!)
Talk about hunker down!!!! |

I have had 18 inches in my Long Island back garden… I have just worked out that is they got 7 foot that is basically the lower floor of my 2 floor house!! You in theory would not be able to open the downstairs doors!! Step out of my upstairs windows!!! |

Have they had similar before? They seem better equipped than us for such weather events over there. Dusting of snow here and the country grinds to a halt.
Hope you have someone looking after your house. |

Now this is a time to stock up on toilet paper and soup.
I'd freeze milk too, as I hate powdered milk in tea.
Wonder if it will affect Internet connections.
I'd download some films and games to play while we're snowed in.

New York City had its biggest snow total day in a storm last year.. it was 16 inches in Central Park!
3 foot is rare anywhere except a mountain… 7 foot is ridiculous and Boston is low lying! For giggles I might watch the local news coverage when I get up tomorrow |
