Definitely none of our armed forces. We’ve lost too many lives in other unjust wars that in reality are nothing to do with us and in some cases started illegally by corrupt politicians!! |

"Those German helmets - are they the kind with a spike on top?"
The pickelhaube. Not very effective against billets as it was made of leather. Replaced by the famous stalhelm which is still considered the best helmet of its time. The modern US helmet mimics this design and is nicknamed ‘the fritz’. |

Erm NATO? Of course nobody wants to send troops and lose lives. We don’t help then what happens when we need help. You can’t let bullying happen especially from him. |

Indeed.
You can guarantee that if, for whatever reason, we were in the position of being the victim that those that preach "nothing to do with us" would be calling other countries all sorts of very creative insults for not helping us out. But it's not their problem!
International relations is a tricky minefield to navigate, and it's always easy to just send troops to do the dirty work for those siting in the office but if "not our problem" was the thing getting thrown around when Hitler was going about his business, the world would be a much different place to what it is now.

"Maybe NATO should stop pushing its weapons and Military manoeuvres close to Russia. And then Russia wouldn't react the way it is.
Maybe let the Ukraine decide who it befriends?"
And in doing so. Accept the consequences. |

Of course. Russian is a big bully with a huge land mass. They could afford a demilitarised zone within their own borders. |

"Send Jaffa cakes
Do people actually like Jaffa cakes? "
A friend of mine's father used to work for Mcvities and he used to get big boxes of reject jaffa cakes from the production line. They were fine, it was like two stuck together or totally covered in chocolate, things like that. We would go through a box in a weekend.. |

NATO couldn't organise a committee to even decide what a bully is, it's a joke.

Well Ukraine has been at virtual war for ages with russia for many years and no one in the west seemed to care or even anyone in the MSM even when Russia took over Crimea and caused trouble in Belarus ?? and only a short while ago western leaders were happily queuing up to kiss Putins ring ?? and saying what a great guy he was etc etc etc despite many warning from the security services and evidence that planted bombs to blame chechnya and the basic genocides committed there by Putins puppet ???? and he's just grandstanding to take away attention from the terrible state Russia is in ! |

Why use NATO seeing as Ukraine aren’t a member?? We lost hundred of boys and girls in a war that should never have happened try telling those that lost family members we need to lose more in a war that’s basically FA to do with us. If the west stopped pushing closer and closer to Russian borders it wouldn’t have the effect of winding them up. As for us needing help at some point from nato where was the help in Northern Ireland or the falklands I seem to remember we didn’t get any. |

Nuclear war is a very very remote possibility in this situation troops will be deployed a few shoots fired and we all come home for biscuits and a brew unfortunately for the Ukrainians they don't have that option their home could become a battlefield and NATO was set up to do exactly that stop the Russians from invading Europe |

Hmm, in terms of lethal aid.
Probably anti-tank & anti-air. But I won’t send troops in, not unless it starts to threaten actual NATO members I.e Germany or Latvia etc.
As for the Nukes, it won’t go Nuclear. But if it does, it’ll be NATO that uses them first on a tactical level. |

Russian stockpiles of tactical warheads are approximately 5x’s NATOs. Russia needs to be able to level the playing field against the greater military depth of nato in a prolonged war, so tactical nukes are a key part of their tactical doctrine.
So its at least as likely that Russia would use tactical nukes first.
The idea of using nuclear landmines in front of russian forces to slow the advance across the plains of germany was mooted, i don’t think much came of it.

Russia is a vast and beautiful country. Well worth visiting should you ever get the opportunity. |
