But what was it?

"Have you had biscoff sandwich Spread?
That is soooooo good.
I'm a boring custard creamer
I like to pull them apart and lick and nibble
But do you eat it whole or lick out the filling? "

This isn't as straight forward as that surely.
Is there a cup of tea involved?
With tea chocolate digestive or rich tea, if I'm feeling adventurous a ginger biscuit or custard cream.
On it's own jammie wagon wheel, triple stuffed Oreo or a ginger cream |

"Jaffa cake. I eat the edge then gently try to lick out the filling before putting the spongy part into my mouth. "
Ooh I like the last bit to be the filling on my tongue after I've sucked all the chocolate off mmm I'm hungry now lol |

Not sure if it's a sign of ageing but once I turned 40 I started liking 'Nice' biscuits.
When I was 13 or 14 in great Yarmouth i used to eat a large, must be 10cm diameter, round shortbread biscuit half dipped in chocolate which I adored.
That, after school, with a cuppa, watching Richard and Carol on countdown was heaven.

Ah the old jafa cake argument rears it's ugly head.
Tea cakes for me. biscuit, chocolate and marshmallow the 3 pillars of the confectionery world.
However also controversial so ill go with good old bourbons!!! |

I am being so focused on not eating rubbish right now but I used to love a few bourbon creams or chocolate hobnobs. If I have it in me to bake then cookies fresh from the oven or left to go cold would be destroyed!

I don't really like biscuits but if I had to choose. Those plain biscuits with a layer of chocolate ontop, like a rectangular shape.. They begin with L and in a long packet. |

Would you perchance be talking about Dundee biscuits? |

Dundee biscuits were the best, they were a proper biscuit, shame they disappeared |

Chocolate hob-nob for nibbling ...
Jaffa cake for cramming as many in your mouth as is humanly possible ,
And a custard cream if your in the mood for pulling apart and scrapeing the cream out with your teeth ....
Thid is why im banned from the church coffee mornings |
