I wanted to get a hood piercing again, but I recall back in 2015, they classified it as Female Genital Mutilation. I've been googling but can't seem to find an accurate answer. Some say it's now legal, some say it's not and some say it's a 'grey area' |

Legally speaking any piercing of the genital could be covered by fgm laws.
But looking on the cps.gov website it states that where a woman agrees by choice to a genital piercing, and has the freedom and capacity to make that choice, an assault charge is not appropriate. So it would seem it is legal and above board |

All decent piercing places will get you to read and sign the correct declaration/consent form before any piercing is carried out which clearly states you gave full consent for the procedure to go ahead. |

I got a vch done 2 years ago in Glasgow perfectly legal in most places just do your research on the piercer as it’s not a piercing to mess around with infection and sensitivity make sure it’s reputable xx |
