Exactly the moment a " woman" calls be babe/baby on here I automatically think it's gotta be a guy it just doesn't feel right when they aren't known to me ..judgemental maybe but it's something I'm used to men calling me, at most my closest female friend

It is very common. Women address men and women with and some guys use it when talking to women. It's just a horrible word when used in this context.

Referred to as a girl, sissy or being called mate by a man when I'm dressed.

Lots of other names depend on who is saying it and in what context too but that's getting into specifics too varied to pin down

In a first message or any message

Slut whore slag slapper fuck toy anything along those lines

But during the moment and after the moment I love to be called names like that but the as soon as that moment gone and your away then you can’t refer to me as those things till next time

But I also reserve the right to call my self then at any point in time

Bungle is fine - so long as it's accompanied by a wink.

I'm just finding this thread really bloody negative, it's almost like it's turning into a shaming thread, not here for any of this, I'm out.

Sorry to anyone that's now got messaging anxiety like I have !

It's really weird as I hate being called princess etc, but the right man calling me "baby" is knicker-dropping. Honest to god makes me melt like a ...melt.

I’ve always hated being called “babe” “baby” “love” “chick” etc…. I find it derogatory although I think “honey/hunny” is ok.

However I didn’t seem to mind last FB calling me “baby” but he only used it when texting, not to my face.

Totally different to many of the comments but I absolutely loathe being called Mardy. I was as a kid, yes, I hated my childhood and often got called it. My mrs has the last couple of years decided that anything I disagree with her on warrants her to call me it now.

I’m a lot of things, and I deserve to be called many things, but mardy isn’t one of them.

Sorry, rant over

It’s more the context and person it’s coming from that turns me off.
