"Just back from the vet. End of the road for my 16 year old Bearded Collie. Painful, but the right thing to do. He was just a big hairy lump of love. "

Oh no! So sorry to hear this.
You did the last kindest thing you could ever do for your friend, the ultimate true act of love
It is harder for us left behind than it is for them. Would love to hear some of your memories sometime x |

So sorry to hear OP! I totally can relate, I lost my 2 furry babies in the span of 12 months and I don’t think I’ve ever cried as much.
My only tip is, try to remember that you gave them the best life ever in the 16 years that they lived with you. And were probably over the moon to have you as their dad!
It hurts, and you will feel the void, not gonna lie. But it will get better x sending hugs over |

Very, very sorry to hear of your loss. It's so hard when you lose a beloved pet no matter what age they are. I still struggle with the loss of mine but cheer myself up thinking of all the lovely times and the mischievous antics and knowing how much was loved as indeed was I. The lovely memories you have will get you through it too. x |
