The demise of slips and petticoats

I wear petticoats for two reasons. They stop my dress from clinging to my stockings or tights and they keep me warm. Most of my dresses aren't lined and having them doing to your legs is hugely annoying. |

Very true but and I'm probably showing my age here, the art of dressing has been lost in many respects. |

The petticoats always clung to my tights. And the skirt ones always twisted around, which wasn’t really a problem but if they had a slit at the back and it twisted around it would get annoying.

Not saying you need them, but I found they work like a slip |

Sounds similar to what I've got. Mostly cotton. Only issue is that they're black, so when my dress is a bit translucent... |

Wear slips/petticoats when dressing in a vintage style, however have found that slips can be a nightmare with fitted dresses, as they can twist round and become bunched up.
So annoying having to adjust your clothing, because it rides up and the slip ends up by the waist or hips, when it’s supposed to be at the hem of your dress or skirt.
Pretty but can be so impractical x
