i think women are just better at masking pain and getting on with things

Men have to make a big song and dance about everything

Take that advert for instance where the two women meet on the street bunged up with flu, taking about what they had to do for the week, work, kids etc then the one leave because her fellas in bed ill and shes taking his medication back to him.....reason that advert was funny because it was so real to life

I love it when women use childbirth as an example of how they are better at coping with pain.

I'm sure labor wards up and down the country are full of women coping with the pain in a quiet and dignified manner, and in no way are they full of mental bitches screaming for all the drugs that can be given and blaming men for all the pain.

"Didn't they do the test on mythbusters or was that the wrong myth...?"

Yes they did, the results showed women to have an, on average, higher pain tolerance than men however the test was criticized (by men but can you blame them) that the method for inducing pain (hand placed in a bowl of ice water) was unfairly biased toward women, as they have on average lower skin temperature and more efficient biological heat preservation and as such didn't 'feel the cold as much' as the men.

Until you women have had to go through something as painful as Manflu or a kick in the balls you will never know the true meaning of pain.

And before you say 'Oh! Oh! Childbirth is a bit 'hurty'' well stop right there as I just checked on the International Pain Guage and Manflu is 4 screams (a scream is the unit of measurement for pain) above child birth.

I rest my case.

In context the pain felt from a kick in the balls is actually felt in the abdomen, this is because the nerves for the testes (the spermatic plexus) is located in the lower abdomen, the female equivalent of this nerve is the ovarian plexus which carries the nerve signals from the ovaries and uterus. Now imagine them getting kicked.

Sorry couldn't resist!!

But I actually think the correct answer is neither! I know as many wimp males as wimp females!!!

Personally I have a stupidly high pain threshold - broken many a bone, had a few major ops, 8 hr tattoo sessions and am pretty much immune to most on the shelf pain killers!

So I think it's very much six of one and half a dozen of the other!

The Forest

There is the argument that being kicked in the balls is as bad a pain as childbirth. In all fairness, a testicular punt must be far more painful than childbirth because there are many women who have more than one child. Conversely, you will never hear a man say "I was kicked in the balls a few years ago, I think I'll do it again"

"When it comes to pain. Men or women. I vote for men"

Apparently, the old myth about women having a greater tolerance of pain is just that - a myth. Women have more pain receptors and, hence, feel more pain.

However, since we tend to just 'put up with it' more so than men I would say men are the biggest wimps!

Why don't we have a contest to see who can handle pain the best, i'm not talking about having children because obviously men can't and i don't mean being kicked in the balls because women don't have any.

Hang on did i just say women have no balls? i think we have just found the winner men because we have BALLS and big ones at that.

"Why don't we have a contest to see who can handle pain the best, i'm not talking about having children because obviously men can't and i don't mean being kicked in the balls because women don't have any.

Hang on did i just say women have no balls? i think we have just found the winner men because we have BALLS and big ones at that.

Have you ever considered that men think being kicked in the nuts hurts so much because they are shite at dealing with pain?

I don't need to think that it hurts because i know it hurts to the point where i cannot stand and start to feel sick.Anyway men still win "

Tell ya what... let ya pubes grow out for a week or two. I'll epilate mine and then you epilate yours and we'll see which one of us screams

If child birth is so painful why go through it more than once? You don't hear a bloke asking to be kicked in the balls again! Lol

"I love it when women use childbirth as an example of how they are better at coping with pain.

I'm sure labor wards up and down the country are full of women coping with the pain in a quiet and dignified manner, and in no way are they full of mental bitches screaming for all the drugs that can be given and blaming men for all the pain. "

superb !

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Men. Surrounded by men who can't even manage to go for a blood test without kicking up a fuss about how painful it will be.

I was hit on the head with an iron bar, several times. No tears. Five weeks of contractions, labour and then had to be knocked out to 'fix' me.

But I do cry like a baby whenever I stub my toe.

Had my son at 18, 8lb he was, just gas & air. No where near as bad as I thought, but as I pushed his head out, my womb came with it, so was rushed to surgery.

I can sit through a 3 hour tattoo sesh and fall asleep (would go longer but cant due to health problems).

I struggle to cope with my sciatica thou
