Glazed ring donuts of the Krispy Kreme variety..... Oh god I feel my heart palpitating just thinking of them....

There are. But they aren’t fresh and vacuumed packed. Had one the other day. They’re OK but nothing special. |

Dunkin donuts are better. "
Never had those either! It's a Tesco jam five pack with the kids or a Lidl strawberry ring. My life needs more doughnuts. |

There’s a shopping centre near me that has a little stall that sells banging ring doughnuts.
The next best I’ve had were from a stall in the car park of Saundersfoot beach.
Thankfully not close enough that I get to sample them too often! |

Nothing wrong with that, can't have too much of a good thing, especially if those things are doughnuts |

At the moment just a plain strawberry or caramel iced Krispy Kreme. I've over done it on doughnuts over the past year so I like to keep it simple these days. |

As I said love ring doughnuts but just remembered another doughnut type thing I had which was delicious when on holiday in Greece. Doughnut balls covered with honey syrup and sprinkled with lots of cinammon and se roasted sesame seeds. Just lovely, about six or seven on a plate and cooked just that moment |

There was only one doughnut I found to perfect it was Gregg's but they discontinued them the ice ring doughnuts. Not sure why they got rid when they were popular and everyone asking for them back on the menu.
All the rest I find the same basic taste have tried hundreds of shops now , the Krispy kremes are disgusting. |

I had them once, they were disgusting, just little balls with a hole full of grease…. would rather have an American filled doughnut - though the Greggs ring doughnuts are palatable |

I just found a recipe for this online. I am going to make them tomorrow. They are called loukoumades. Might put the recipe on the 'Favourite recipe' thread. |

They've started to come back. Liverpool , Sheffield , Manchester. Think there's one in Nottingham.
They have a ridiculous franchise model where you have to open something like 10 shops. If they would just offer individual outlets they'd be loads. |

Recipe on the 'Favourite recipe' thread now as promised. You may want to try. Always be careful when frying stuff in hot oil. Enjoy. |
