can fat be described as curvy?

I grew up thinking a women with curves typcially had a hour glass figure, with bum and breasts.
But I think in 2012 curvy tends to decribe the overweight. |

Back in the day Marilyn Monroe and Diana Doors were classed as Curvy and they were dam fine ladies x And after seeing Lisa Riley on strictly she is one hot lady x curves and confidence a very sexy combination x |

I've never personally described myself as curvy ... but if it helps you sleep at night, you are perfectly within your rights not to regard 'the overweight' as curvy. Sorted.

When you watch the forums for a little while you notice a pattern. One is that this subject comes up a fair amount, with different titles. Another is that people go slightly bonkers on a Thursday and have a rant. It can get a little hot and bothered, not in a sexy way, on a Thursday.
So, what did you observe that made you ask the question? |

well they dont have fat on the body shape list.. so we have to kinda pick something.
personally I just stick loads of photos up and that way people can decide for themselves.
TO some I am fat, others curvy.. and to some plain sexy..  To Master I am his world.. so I dont really care what others think.. oh and to me.. well I am just me.. and happy to be me.

oh man, seriously another fat thread 
can all the fatties please leave the site and come sit in my corner so everyone else has nothing to moan aboout
i promise to be good and not grope to many of you
on a serious note you cant win on here, i used to have on my profile i am fat and people would mail me telling me not to be down down on myself, so i changed it and then people want to take you to trade description for calling yourself other than fat......seriously you cant win
why are people so hung up on what fat women choose to call themselves? |

People can call themselves what they like, there are many interpretations.
A lot of men describe themselves as VWE, a description I sometimes wouldn't agree with, don't stop em using it though |

I would describe my self as curvy . By no means fat and a size 12 with a 36d bust. People stereotype people all the time . I say I feel happy in my own skin and the only person whose opinion the matters of how I look is mine and hots . I was 7 and half stone when we met and looked like I needed feeding up . So I'm cheering and flying the flag for all us curvaceous ladies today. |

Maybe I'm being a bit dim/naieve (too early) but I didnt take offence to this post or his other on the height/weight thing.
Wouldnt mind a height thing,  Im a heightist  (in ft and inches), but the weight bits go over my head.
Its all just personal preference

YES curvy is a combination of size and shape. I am curvy a woman with shape, thats what curvy is just a shape can come in alot of sizes too. Just look at old oil pantings lots of curvy woman and was about shape thay loved so much. |

Im a size 12....and to me curvy means...hips..boobs...bum...and a smaller waist so i define myself as curvy but in the right places..i exercise....but eat loads to... so i keep my shape... and so there is a happy medium...love it lol.... |

i decribe my fat ass as curvy because i have a breast to waist inch difference of 14... and same with my hips.. that makes me pretty curvy... im still fat and really overweight though... so yes.. curvy can be used to decribe fat women... |

A very interesting thread to read, and see the _iews of lots of people, but at the end of the day, whether I class myself as curvy/overweight/fat/fabulous, its in the eye of the beholder as to what they see me as.
I see me as a person who wobbles a bit, but im fine with that. Some are not, again, this is fine, its a preference. Some like, some dont. Cant please everyone, but who wants to please everyone anyway... |

I agree with you.... a woman with curves means curves not folds....... but try telling the guys that as it seems to be men who insist on using curvy to mean anything they want... more so than the women. |

Fat is much maligned, and looked down upon.
However, it's where we store fat-soluable vitamins which could be potentially poisonous in high doses, like A, D, E and K, so the chubsters amongst us (yes, thats me too!) are doing the world a favour by storing away these nasties!
