Evening Rickshawed...somebody had eaten all the hob nobs...
What's your favourite biscuit?..."

Good evening Ash and nocturnal owls. Today wasn't too bad workwise. I went to the shops at lunchtime. It was all going too well. Then son had a crisis. Then basketball got cancelled because someone crashed into Coach. And The Small One had a bedtime meltdown. *Breathes deeply* |

On this day 1934 Parisian baker and "student of medieval life" Henri Littière appeared in court charged with forcing his adulterous wife Juliette to wear a chastity belt. Having committed the same offence in 1932, he was sentenced to three months in prison and fined 50 francs for cruelty to his wife. |

Maybe something like they said it was in the spirit of public decency! 110 or so years later and even in Manhattan there’s some crazy stuff. I’ve been quite a few times and what sticks in my head is I had an early start one day and was walking in the direction of Central Park. I just walked past the De Beers Jewellery Store and there was a person sleeping in the doorway with little on but had one Wellington boot and a plastic bag shaped into a hat and they were absolutely covered in sh*t. It was was extreme to the other living cheek by jowl

Just found this quote on some ones profile.
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”
From a presidential candidate and self help author.

"Just found this quote on some ones profile.
