I went in November and it was gorgeous.
It depends what kind of holiday you're looking for really. We stayed in Santiago de Cuba then flew down to Havana, seeing the country.
Varadeoro could be anywhere - but if you like a resort holiday, then it's ideal. |

Thanks folks. We are looking at going next year. Kinda guessing that when Castro dies, that the Ameicans will pile in and ruin it. Would love to see the buildings and the old Yank cars. |

Went in September, weather was faultless except for each evening at 6pm we had a tropical storm - lasted 10 minutes then fined up again. Stayed at Varadero - brilliant! Beach was squeaky clean and the sea crystal clear. Go for it!!!
Do a day trip to Havana, well worth the money. Buy rum at the rum factory - costs a fraction of the price anywhere else. |
