"Not having a funeral so thar saves that
Friends mum died just b 4 xmas she decided she didnt want one she arranged it all with the funeral directors a while back x"
This is what I am going to do, just want to go with no fuss or drama.
Told my boys to arrange a party, with a theme of their choosing to celebrate me instead. Want their last memories to be a fun memory not of being sat in a cold crematorium

"What a depressing thread
It's Tuesday,a natural day to think of such things
Is any day appropriate really? "
In the midst of life we die...each day and everyday...

Actually I do have a song, Best of You by the Foo Fighters. I may have to sit through I Will Always Love You by Witney Houston at my mother's funeral and I absolutely hate that song. Earplugs will help! |

Yeah that was my thinking, they would need the closure
My eldest is threatening to put me in a firework. I thought that would top any funeral service ever |

"Going out I want Morcombe and Wise bring me sunshine
I have a packed with my cousin that if she goes 1st I dress as death and if I go 1st she does the dance put if the crem"
That sounds like the kind of thing I'd want
There is a line from a film 'at first she died, and then she dead' I would have a ceremony just for my eldest to stand up and quote that before the 'mic drop'
Eldest up for it, youngest did not think it appropriate! What a miserable git |

"Hubster's requests are:
Adagio for Strings - DJ Tiesto
Sandstorm - Darude
It's Time to Burn - Storm
It's not something I've thought about "
Nice choices.
My best friend had rank1 - airwave played at his funeral and to this day I regret not throwing some shapes but tbh there were some big scary men at that funeral who wouldn't have understood. |

"What a depressing thread "
Other threads are available.
If I was gonna choose I spose upbeat songs that reflect my tastes.
In with Enjoy Yourself by Prince Buster (lyrics are perfect for the occasion) and out with All You Need is Love by the Beatles which I've always maintained is solid advice. |

Atmosphere by joy division
Walking out to one day like this by elbow "

For Dad, we had
Flash... (aaaaaaa!)
Top Gear theme
Walking out: "I want to break free"
Not his choice as he left no choices, but us... his daughters, thought these were hilarious .. and true to the Queen and car fan that he was
My bosssaid it was the funniest funeral she'd ever been to.. in a good way
Dad would've laughed himself silly if he could've seen it |
