Off the back of another thread, I noticed a lot of women say they wear heels for a club night. Is it like an unwritten code, are we expected to wear heels? I love my heels but unfortunately flats are starting to dictate my life in my old age. Is there anyone else that doesn't wear heels? |

"Old age! . I didn’t wear high ones, otherwise I’m too tall! When I ventured upstairs I didn’t wear shoes. I don’t think most people did to be honest. "
My date of birth is one thing but my legs are a different story, my legs and heels no longer get on I had a pair on a couple of weeks ago and only lasted 20mins and I was sitting down most of that |

There’s no expectation in any of the clubs we visit to wear heels, I tend to wear them when I first get there, and then they’re off about half an hour later when I walk around bare foot. There’s lots of ladies in flats too so don’t worry and enjoy Miss pc |

"I don't wear heels either, physically can't because of an old ankle break.
My local club has 3 lots of stairs so bugger walking up them in heels.
"
I'm having a similar issue, I physically can't wear them anymore. What sort of thing do you wear?
Don't blame you, I wouldn't want to do that either |

I wore flat boots last time, the ones in my pic but I want different options. I'll have a look at them, thank you. |

It's horrible isn't it. I wear ankle boots with small heel. Or in the club I'm barefoot

"I always wear heels as I like how I look and feel in them.
Yea I am on my knees or back most of the time "
Haha me too... The number of times I've looked up at my feet and think... My heels look nice from this angle... |

You should just wear something that you'll be comfortable and confident in. Most of the clubs anyway say that you've got to remove heels when playing on the beds or wherever, cos they are sick of getting bedding torn up by stilettos... |

"Does it really matter? As long as you feel sexy. Stockings and trainers don't really go, do they?"
Don't they? Oh dear.
OP, some of us can't wear heels (or a multitude of other shoes) for all sorts of reasons. Wear whatever is comfortable for you.
I wore flat black shoes at first but as my bad foot/ankle became swollen, I had to go shoe-less. Depending on the club, this is either not an issue (because my feet are on the footplate of my wheelchair) or means I don't move very far because I don't want to stand on something I shouldn't. I don't go too far on crutches anyway *shrug* |
