Very happy in Bristol, but space is at a premium and house prices are a challenge. Very much an urban person, I like getting out into nature but prefer to live in or close to a city… |

I live in the worst place possible. It's remote, cold and run down, though there is some nice views along the coast. I would like to stay in Inverness for views, but now having been awakened to the fact there are loads of clubs in the North of England, that is exactly where I would want to move to!!!!! |

Diagonally Parked in a Parallel Universe |
I live in part of a country mansion with a nice long driveway, lots of trees and a river at the end of the garden. The nearest pub is over a mile away on the same riverbank, so it's a nice summer stroll there, and the nearest shop is 5 miles away.
It's big, cold, draughty, and when I light the fire it's very cozy. I wouldn't change it for the world! |

We wouldn't move anywhere.
We live in an AONB, peace and tranquility, with outstanding views out of every window of our house, no neighbours, we have a very special group of friends who we have been friends with for many years who live within a few miles of us,family close by, and a great friendly community spirit who look out for each other in times of need. We work on our doorstep and it's one of the safest areas in he country to live. We can be in a great city within a 40 minute drive and the coast within the hour.
It's perfection for us. What's not to love. |

"Honestly I wouldn’t move, I’m in my own little house in the middle of the countryside with a garage I can tinker in all day I’m content and happy here lol
Is it nice in Derry? That's where my sister and her husband have lived for over 20 years xDerry isn't in Britain.
Did I say it was lol? I do know where it is, Northern Ireland!!well the post is about Britain and you put in Derry. Derry is in Ireland.
It is in Northern Ireland not Ireland lol Ireland is the island do a little geography Ireland contains the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Okay but Northern Ireland is still part of Britain " its not you know northern Ireland is part of the UK not Britain, Britain is comprised of England, Scotland and Wales. As i said before do a bit of geography. |

Cornwall has a low population density, and I've already seen the house I want being built last year in Polruan. You won't even know I'm there! |

Does it matter?! A person from Derry contributed. Another person asked if he liked it in Derry. You've started Geography 101 like it's the be all and end all.
I commented that I'd like to live NOWHERE in Britain (or NI) but somewhere much further away but no one has offered me a lesson in the geographical limits of GB |

"And money, childcare, jobs etc weren't an issue. Where would you move to? Or are you happy where you are? "
None of these are an issue anymore, my heart is moving back to Western Australia but with an aging mother I'm gonna have to stay in the UK realistically.
I'd like to move to the coast as I've missed not living by the sea these last 5yrs. Places I've found beauty in have always been Cumbria and North Wales and I'd probably choose the latter |

Not unless the border has been moved!" you can move the border anyway you want its simple geography Derry is on the island of Ireland and Britain is the island beside us on which England, Scotland and Wales are situated look up a map and the UK is England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. You are welcome for that little geography lesson. |
