Have had long hair since my teens, few cuts & different styles for some bands I've been in (fashion at the times unfortunately) over some years, but long for a while now & at my age now I'm bloody well keeping it for as long as I can!!!! |

As a baldy who lost it very quickly due to a past illness I think you have to own who you are, whatever you are. I had black hair and a black beard and now look like a completely different person, which takes some getting used to. It took me a while to regain my confidence as a result, but when I read about how unattractive bald guys are to many women I simply carry on.
People can't help what they are or aren't attracted to and while things can appear 'shallow' in black and white if we read them as such, the reality is that it's nothing personal. None of us can make ourselves feel attracted to someone, it's instinctive. QED it's not personal. In my case I'm also a relative shortarse, so far from being everyone's cup of tea, but I know my own worth based on my actions in life.

It took me a while to regain my confidence as a result, but when I read about how unattractive bald guys are to many women I simply carry on.
People can't help what they are or aren't attracted to and while things can appear 'shallow' in black and white if we read them as such, the reality is that it's nothing personal. None of us can make ourselves feel attracted to someone, it's instinctive. QED it's not personal. In my case I'm also a relative shortarse, so far from being everyone's cup of tea, but I know my own worth based on my actions in life.

In my personal experience it depends on the shape of said person's head and their level of confidence around it. C shaves his off completely and I am very fond of his freshly shaved head. That and his gorgeous big beard have me weak at the knees. My ex though just has the bald bit in the middle and it looks awful, he doesn't like his baldness.

It's probably a terrible endictment of my personality, but I've just never managed give a shit what other people think about my hair.
I grow it a bit in the winter to keep my head warm, and then shave it completely off in the summer to keep cool. Aside from anything else, it's so thick and straight that any kind of style is just to much like hard work.

Wearing clothes and shoes is something everyone has to do, not sure if you've realised that and wearing make up makes that person feel good about themselves it has nothing to do with following a trend. Some people use make up to cover scars or bad skin as an example. |

Everyone is entitled to their preferences, loosing our hair is something sadly we cannot change no matter how much we might wish, some girls will like it and some won't but its not body shaming if its not an attraction.
I remember going through chemo 32yrs ago and caring more about loosing my hair (all be it temporarily) aged 20 than I did about whether or not I'd survive so obviously I now wished I wasn't.
Bottom line is that it is what it is...you be who you are and all you can be, embrace the obvious and get on with it.
I never quite reached 6ft either but I wouldn't criticise any girl for wanting someone taller lol |
