Tin foil having a shiny and dull side is purely down to the fact they put two sheets through the rollers in the factories together when thinning it out. The sheets rub against each other on one side and against the roller on the other. Ergo, shiny or dull, it doth not make a single iota of difference

A "dead line" was a line drawn around captured prisoners when there was no stocade to hold them in. Anyone stepping over the line would be viewed as escaping so was shot. Hence "deadline".

Apparently the word kangaroo means “I don’t know” in aboriginal, when Europeans first went there they asked or indicated to the native people what do you call that strange animal and that is what they answered. It stuck and became what we call them to this day

The moon and the sun appear the same size in the sky despite the fact the sun is considerably larger because the sun is exactly 400 times further away from the earth than the moon is. Also the sun is exactly 400 times wider than the moon. That's why we get a perfect eclipse. We won't get total eclipses in a few million years as the moon is slowly moving further away from the earth every year .

Oddly the sun and the earth are the only planet and sun that give rise to a perfect total eclipse. It dosnt happen anywhere else in our solar system.

Apparently so does a stemmed wine glass if it has wine (or any other drink for that matter) in it. I've not tried though as I don't want warm wine.

In Scandinavian countries they say "die monster" rather than "bless you" when people snezze. The reason behind both is however the same. It dates back to when illness was thought to be a result of demonic possession and both are atempts to get the evil presence to leave you so as to restore you to good health.

"Tin foil having a shiny and dull side is purely down to the fact they put two sheets through the rollers in the factories together when thinning it out. The sheets rub against each other on one side and against the roller on the other. Ergo, shiny or dull, it doth not make a single iota of difference "

I really does. Put the shiny side down over food and it reflects the heat more and keeps things warmer for longer.

That is awesome! I'm a ski demon and love the thrill of skiing steep n deep. Trees and avalanche chutes my absolute favourites, dodgems in the trees and boulders big as houses to ski on!

Learning is absolutely the best bit and getting better harder.

Enjoy your new found freedom and don't stop in the middle of the piste!

Because of the way we structure

the genealogy tree you have to go

back so far to categorise all the

"Stripper poles actually spin around not the dancer "

Depends on the pole. Some spin, some are fixed. A sufficiently skilful pole dancer can leave you wondering which they're on.

Also, free-standing portable poles are a thing.

What!?!

Apparently they have two modes static and spin, they have ball bearings in the ends of them so they rotate not the dancer, that's why they can pull off elaborate spins "

Having tried one it is easier on static mode as on spin it is a bit like a roundabout where you end up flying off!

There’s a massive nebula cloud that is pure alcohol

It takes a photon 30mins to travel from the centre of the Sun to your face and then pass through you
