Grantham

The big acts now play The Motorpoint, further up the city.

Rock City has a great website, where it highlights many of the huge names that have played there.

Its more of a student venue now but still very much one of the stalwarts of the live music scene.

Not gonna lie I'm super jealous you've seen the prodigy, I bet that was insane

Way way too loud in there. Music totally distorted. Living off hype now. Try the city’s dot-to-dot festival which lets you into multiple venues for one fixed price and you’ll have the chance to decide for yourself.

Grantham

Other venues worth trying are The Bodega, The Rescue Rooms, The Old Angel, The Running Horse and The Tap and Tumbler (rock music)

All are live music venues of varying interests.

Great venue

Better if you’re tall

Quite a flat floor

Last time I went was Tremonti

Great gig

Derby

Been going since '87.

Great for gigs.

Not sure what the club nights are like any more but judging by the queues to get in it still seems busy.

Rescue Rooms next to Rock City is also great for gigs. As is the Bodega opposite the Pit & Pendulum going up towards Hockley.

Boston, Lincolnshire

We've been to see Evil Scarecrow, Cradle of Filth and a few others - the floor was always sticky and toilets like an old pub. Not been since lockdown though, so it's probably changed a bit.

I'm guessing it's a mix of age groups that go there then and not just students?

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

Been loads of times back in the 80/90's. Me and a couple of mates missed the last train back one night, so we walked back to Derby

quite close to you

Back in the 90s

Watched a very pissed student piss on a bouncer’s back

Not a clever boy, not a clever outcome as well

Melton Mowbray

80s 90s for me too. Always a good music venue in the dark and distant. But looking at the posts I'm not alone. Saw grandmaster flash and the five there. That was an outstanding night to think of 1.
