Underwired bra. Worn twice and one of the wires decided it wanted to break free
Mentioned it offline to a friend and she said this has never happened to her So I am feeling a little victimised
Do you chuck the item when this happens or try to sew it back in? |

I'd take it back if I'd only worn it twice.
It happens quite often. I'm thinking...
what is this poking up my cleavage....
(swear words) .....
wire came through again!!
I sew them but it tends to find a gap again. |

Well those wires have to do a hard job for you
I find bras tend to last longer if you hand wash them - spinning in a washing machine often reduces their strength. |

Depends how much the bra cost or how much I like it.
They are so easy to repair. Just do it while you watch a prog later on t.v.
Do some really good tight close together over stitching and bingo |

"I'd send it back if you've only worn it twice.
I have wires pop out but only after wearing a bra for ages. Only exception is sports bras which tend to not last as long. "
Sending it back tomorrow. Was thinking to visit the store but just seen that my local branch has closed down.
Thanks for the reminder that I need another sports bra too |

"They never sew back in but usually because the little slot they sit in is knackered too. Seems like it might have been faulty after only two wears. "
Finding that little slot is a pain in itself sometimes. I don't get why it happens to me so often. I'm not rough with them and don't use fabric conditioner. |

It's so annoying. Especially when it happens in public. |

They should maybe use different wires, according the to cup size.
I have been doing a mixture of the hand wash cycle and actual handwashing.
Maybe I'll have to abandon the machine for them. |

"On the odd occasion it does happen I stitch up where the wire found it’s way out. Why waste a decent bra!
I also have spare wires if one snaps "
I have removed the other one once so the cups would match. Do not recommend. |

If it happens often then you may have the wrong size. Check out boob or bust they've got really useful guides on measuring and what bras suit which boob projection |

Oh no way, maybe time to try a new brand? And no doubt they aren't cheap either. |

Ann Summers are the brand to blame.
For 2022, I'm going to try and not buy any more lingerie at all! |

Yes for everyday bras I tend to wear ones that are not underwired but designer for bigger busts. Those skimpy underwired bras are only really designed for taking off for sex
Before I lost weight I was a 38ff and was so fed up with bras. If men had to wear them they would be designed better. |
