You've broken a toe..
Basically I acidently kicked our living room armchair hard, bending my little toe far backwards a few weeks ago roughly about three weeks, my toe bruised but its been two n half weeks since the bruise has been gone but my little toe still realty hurts if I touch it or put pressure on it, could it just be badly bruised still inside or broken.. don't wanna make a fool of myself going to a+e to find out its bruised. Theres not a lot they can do anyway for it lol x |

Just see your GP and get it checked out to be sure, and if alls well, you can celebrate buy buying a small plastic box of mints and putting one in your shoe.

"Only thing a&e can do is tape your toes together im afraid, had experience in this myself x"
I have taped them together but was too painful so removed it lol. That's why there's no point wasting hospital time when they have more important and sick patients too see than just spending their time looking at a little toe lol x |

"As long as your toe is nice and pink and warm the only thing you can do is keep it comfortable and let it heal in its own time "
It's cold most of the time but I'm always bare footed in the house I hate shoes lol always have even as a child lol god knows why lmao. That's why I wondered could it be just bruised still or broken x |

It's surprising how painful a broken toe can be. You would know because it would throb like f**k. When I did mine I couldn't even bear a sheet to touch it lol it will take weeks before it stops hurting
Sorry to be Dr. Doom |

If you have any real concerns, just visit your doctor/clinic and get them to take a quick look. If its broken, they will just strap it there and then |

there's no such thing as only a broken toe,see the bigger picture.
this could mean you cannot wear those killer 6 inch heals, hence rendering those black seemed stockings, with suspender, matched with your little tartan mini skirt, basque, and white blouse unbuttoned just enough to reveal a tantalisingly sexy hint of cleavage, slightly less sexy.
OH MY GOD!!!! it could be a disaster.
get the gear on,and send me a picture,i'll let you know how bad it is.
i'm here to help.
ps try and get the shoes on.

I have a nasty habit of managing to (unintentionally) kick things when barefoot and breaking the odd toe here and there, and knowing there's nothing the hospital can do that I can't, I usually just strap to the largest adjacent toe for support for a few weeks.
That was until 12 weeks ago when I was climbing into bed and managed to bash the second toe on my right foot on the divan, omg, it hurt like hell (as usual) and I just knew it was broken, so I strapped it up, watched it swell, but not bruise, and kept an eye on it for about 6 weeks.
At that point I was visiting my GP for something totally unrelated and decided to just mention the fact that it was still swollen to at least twice normal size and it still hurt like hell, a broken wrist or ankle can repair itself in 6 weeks, shouldn't it be fixed by now? He examined it and said that he agreed that it was broken but wanted it xrayed just to be on the safe side, what a waste of valuable NHS time and resources I was thinking.
Until the next day that was, after being badgered by BamBam by text from Belgium, I did turn up at the A&E dept, had it xrayed only to be told that it was indeed broken, not once but twice and dislocated to boot. Needless to say, having it repositioned hurt even more than my original injury. They strapped it back up and told me that it would take between another 4 & 8 weeks to heal properly!
Here I am, 6 weeks on, still extremely swollen, still taking painkillers just to allow me to be able to walk.
Basically, what I'm saying here is that sometimes things look pretty simple but are in fact a lot worse that you realise (but the opposite can also be true).
The NHS is there for a reason and the staff would much rather send you away feeling a little embarassed but knowing that for the sake of a couple of hours of your time, you now know whether you've done yourself a serious injury or not. If I had thought to go to A&E in the beginning I would have chopped at least 6 weeks off my recovery time, instead it's been 12 weeks since my accident and I'm still counting. |
