I see what you mean, and I've seen a couple of threads in the past where posters have said they've backed away from contacting people they thought were "out of their league" looks wise, however, the guy that I consider the height of gorgeousness may be considered a complete munter by the next woman and vice versa...sometimes if I get a message off a good-looking (to me) guy, I wonder why he's after an owd slapper like me, but it doesn't stop me responding in the positive...I've had some great meets that way, and I tell myself if they don't get back to me, that my face pic showed them I was out of their league seeing as I'm the most gorgeous thing on one leg and a walking stick |

2. Whether your looks get you (more) meets depends most probably on more than just the looks anyway, ie your profile, preferences, list of ""don't"s etc.

Its the whole package in my opinion - one of the best things for me is if someone can make me laugh and have a bit of banter.
And as people have said before, what I think is drop dead gorgeous may not be anothers cup of tea.
I was intimidated at first by some profiles, but I think that was just a newbie thing. I'm actually quite flattered now, if someone I deem as attractive, makes contact. And at the end of the day, whats the worst that can happen if you contact a 'too good to be true' profile? They say yes or no (or choose not to respond! lol)

Have seen quite a few posts previously where people have said that they won't contact some profiles that they like. As they see them as out of their league and assume they wouldn't be interested.
Also read posts where others have turned down those that they see as too good looking for them as they think they might just be making do....
