Morning all.. Day 3 of the January fitness planking challenge already!
Ok.. Day 3, here we go ! Here is the activity - the pose will be shared on the telegram group / via fab messenger
******
Day 3. Extended Arm Plank (High Plank)
*Place your wrists directly under your shoulders, using the same form tips as a low plank.
*Hold for 45 seconds; do three sets.
******
The standard activity is as described - but it is up to you how many seconds and reps you do.. Dial it down or punch it up depending on your ability
.... think of the sense of achievement at the end of it
May the force be with you
Don't forget to post your progress on the thread

Just had a look at this, but think it might not be for me.
I struggle with exercise, due to severe arthritis in both knees though can walk outside with a walker. It's also severe in both hands & wrists so very limited in holding any gym equipment.
Anyone have any suggestions?? |

Have you looked into using a “pedal exerciser” you can also get a “seated elliptical stepper” Botha re very low impact but highly effective pieces of equipment |

I'll look at the second item to see if that will be suitable. But as for the pedal exerciser, I tried one within a hospital Physio Gym unit where the experts found I didn't have enough knee joint articulation!
Thanks anyway for your input. |

A good suggestion, but I possess all the physical qualities of a BRICK! No amount of water-wings, arm floatation devices, etc., can keep me on the surface of the water and I slip under! |

"Gym done, 5km run done & my planking. Now relaxing in the bath before normal life resumes tomorrow!
I got up and had coffee
I'm still in bed "
It's reasonable. The year starts properly tomorrow. X |

Yes, definitely adapt if you need to - and protect your body. Aching is good so long as you didn't hurt yourself |

"It was nice that today’s felt easier than yesterday’s, but my yoga session today had some core work in it with a few planks too, so it was good that I spaced them out"
My toning class did planks too |
