We'll be having mother for Christmas dinner.
I thought a turkey would be more tasty and not so tough, but there you have it
Christmas ? is running away an option ? Don't like Christmas to be honest. I'm not a false person and it really sticks in my throat that I'm obliged to be nice to people that I don't really like |

Love Christmas AT christmas.. Time with family and close friends etc.. Traditional.. fun and relaxed.
Then in between the Xmas and New Year.. a few nice parties maybe.. just enough to chaff the edges maybe lol..
After New Year.. maybe somewhere hot to recover for a while..

Both of our sets of parents have had serious health probs this year, luckily they recovered mostly from this but they are at an age where we no longer can take anything for granted.
Our daughter is at an age that she still just about wants to go on holiday with her parents.
Business has been really really tough this year, mostly 60/70 hour weeks but things are improving gradually, so we all agree if we were ever gonna have a break its this year.
We have hired an island and are just gonna totally chill out and relax away from it all, just us, no telephones, no stress, so hopefully health wise for everyone it should be a real getaway. |

I'd love to just spend Xmas day in my Pjs, just chillin and drinkin and eating and watchin TV, I'm not particularly fond of the holiday season, I do find it a very lonely time if you don't have much in the way of family. I do get invited to a friends for Xmas dinner but would really like to do nothing this year just spend the day with my daughter but she would find that boring |

My Daughter's with her father this year so I'm volunteering with one of the homeless shelters in London, might as well do something useful with the time. After that we'll head back to Ireland to do the family thing for the New Year. |

What a bloody fab thing to do.
I may look into doing that up here!
Thanks for the idea |
