"Lust is definitely a sin
Passion is a virtue"
Spiritually, lust is a very low level , earthly / base type of desire , you want it right now, you generally do anything to get it and often discard the person afterwards, passion is definitely a higher level emotion. |

"Lust is as human and natural as hunger, thirst or tiredness.
Ascribing moral value to them seems counterproductive to me. "
Disagree. If it was something that had no moral code, sex crimes wouldn't exist |

That's a very good point Princess. However, should it be lust itself that is ascribed the moral code or the behaviour arising from it.

Sex crimes occur because a human decides to act on an appetite. There is nothing wrong with the appetite itself.
Cannibalism exists. Does that make hunger a sin too? |
