Comedy or live music? Which type of gig is best and why?

Live music. I always find comedy a little cringey if their audience isn't in the same 'headspace'(?.) as the comedian.

Definitely comedy for me. I’m seen some amazing comics over the years and a lot of mediocre bands

Live music, good atmosphere and it’s a feel good factor listening to good music!

Seen good music and comedy. Both different but AC/DC and Rik Mayall were my favourites.

Live music, although I have tickets for Stewart Lee soon which I am looking forward to. Rarely bother with live comedy normally.

Live music.

I enjoy comedy but music is very much integral to my life. I cannot imagine life without music, but wouldn't miss live comedy shows.

"Music wins.

But why?"

Music is a bit more relaxed. Comedy is more structured, have to be here at this time, back in you seat at this time etc.

If I want to stay at bar and miss the support at music I can , you can move, dance, headbang at a gig. Better times for me.
