Secret hideaway in the pennines |
After many months of waiting in anticipation, the book of boba fett has finally arrived.
It didn't disappoint.
When you think he only had 4 lines and 6 minutes of total screen time in the original films, he has definitely become one of the most recognisable characters in the starwars universe.
I am looking forward to the rest of the series

It got end and I was so frustrated only one episode on boooo
Was awesome and fun.
I love boba as so cult how fans took to him and raised him to icon when he was such small character part |

There’s a short documentary about him on Disney+
The first episode didn’t disappoint |

That’s the discussion just spelt different. I say the later, but keep getting corrected saying it’s the first |

All the newer movies in the franchise, revived my interest in StarWars..
Selling to Disney was the best thing George Lucas did. He pretty much spunked his credibility against the wall with the prequels..
But it was the so called digital'remastering' of the original trilogy that really turned me off..I just can't watch them now |

I had three complaints:
- I found it a bit slow
- they spent too long on the suffering-in-the-desert bits, but this seems to be an issue with all fictional depictions of this
- he pretty much immediately lost his helmet, thereby depriving the character of the distinctive appearance that made everyone love him in the first place.
All those things said: I still liked it overall, and I'm excited to see where the rest of the season goes. Only seven episodes rather than eight, though! |

I agree with the above but would also add that I didn’t like the Twi’lek characters in it. All had perfect human teeth and just sounded wrong in the actor’s native accents |

I'm not crazy about it but I am not the biggest Star Wars fan and probably prefer the new stuff over the older *hides before someone beats me* I honestly adored The Mandalorian though, so thought I'd enjoy this too but it's not gripped me yet. I'll keep watching though. |

Am enjoying it watched 2nd episode earlier and love the story showing of boba.
I seen lots people on Star Wars forums saying it’s slow and not living to the hype. I do agree with this but am also loving the sw world be expanded and delved into.
I love the mandalorian and want this to be as awesome but time will tell |

Like Bow Bah ?"
I've always thought "Boba" was pronounced "Bobber", but it turns out I was wrong, and it's "Boe-bah". First syllable rhymes with "foe", "toe", "sew", et cetera. |

I liked episode 2 and am now getting far more of an appreciation for Tusken Raiders after this and the Mandalorian, they aren't just vicious sand people after all.. haha
Those Hutt twins and the evil-looking wookie! I also wonder whether Jennifer Beales character will have more of a role to play moving forward? |

"Loving it so far, I just wish the episodes were longer so I didn’t have to wait a week
That's just Disney's way of keeping you subscribed. "
I’m on my sisters Disney+

Looking forward to see what comes of Boba and Black Krrsantan. They’ve a bit of history in the books

I’ve a feeling he may pop up in Boba Fett, rumours have it a de-aged Harrison Ford May appear too |

Surely not unless he's CGI? "
Apparently it’ll be similar to Luke appearing in the Mandalorian |

Obiwan can't appear in Boba Fett. The Boba Fett series is set after Return of the Jedi, so Obiwan is dead. |

Both would have been on Tatooine during the flash back period. It’s the only time I could see him being slotted in otherwise I agree |

I've too enjoyed them, at the age if 50 you can imagine what a 7 year old me would have thought seeing the original film for the first time in the cinema. Still got my original boxed 12" boba fett figure too. The empire strikes back one and luckily signed by Jeremy bulloch |

I absolutely love it. I love the way they’re expanding the Star Wars universe and still putting nods in from earlier stuff and they know exactly what we want to see. Can only see this getting better and better |

I'm deliberately avoiding indulging in too much speculation. I'm just looking forward to seeing where they go with it all.
That said, I've loved some of the properly deep-cut cameos – 8D8; Max Rebo and one of the Bith from the cantina band; Black Krrsantan; Camie Marstrap and Laze Loneozner at Tosche Station...
I'll say the same thing about the Book of Boba Fett as I said about The Mandalorian: It's clearly made by people who genuinely love Star Wars, as opposed to people who just think Star Wars is cool – and that's why the Disney+ series are so much better than the sequel trilogy. |

"How are people getting on with this?
I'm finding the quality yo-yos wildly, and the issue seems to be the episodes directed by Robert Rodriguez. "
I was thinking this as well.
I don't think it's because he's a bad director per se, I think it's more that his reputation as a low budget auteur precedes him.
Disney be like "Well, we've two episodes left of the Book of Boba Fett to film, and we've only got 500 bucks to do it...hey Rob, can you work your magic here?"
Compare the Tusken train hijacking in Ep2 to the speeder chase in Ep3 - there were like two different TV shows in terms of quality. The former was as good as anything from the movies while the latter looked like it was filmed for a tenner! |

It's really interesting that we've reached the same conclusion, but from different directions. My take was that because Rodriguez Has Done Movies™, he's come in and made A Robert Rodriguez Production™, rather than making Star Wars... resulting in Danny Trejo as the Rancor keeper (which is good, because his face is *perfect* for Tatooine), and the fucking Mos Vespa Power Rangers on their hover scooters (which is terrible and pathetic and the shittest thing to happen to Star Wars since the prequels). |

"I thought the speeders, all painted primary colors made it look like an episode of the power rangers!"
It looks awful, doesn't it? Doesn't fit at all. I couldn't understand where it came from, until someone on Twitter reminded me that Robert Rodriguez made the fucking Spy Kids films. Ugh.
He did such a great job reintroducing Boba Fett in season two of The Mandalorian, but he's pissed all that good will away now. He must be kept away from Star Wars at all costs. Hah. |

I'm kind of dissapponted so far too be brutally honest.
I'm a huge Star Wars fab and Fett was always one of my favourite characters from the original trilogy. He's a dark, mysterious character and yes having a series devoted to Fett is going to lose some of the mystery but they've made him too 'nice' for want of another word.
I'm also finding the episodes very derivative. Yes, Lucas was inspired by Westerns and Samurai films but it just seems that all they're doing is rehashing Western scenarios, the train hijack, the befriending the misunderstood local savages (Tusken Raiders) etc. I just wish they could expand a bit more be a bit more creative.
I do want to like it, I really do, I'm just struggling with it.. Right I'm going to slink off and slip into my Scout Trooper Outfit and imagine me capturing Endor Leia... Nuff said |
