I don't see it as that big a deal really. Just because you agree to meet someone doesn't mean you'll fuck them.

Actually thinking about it I did meet a couple of people without pictures but it was way back in the 90s when people didn't even have digital cameras, let alone smartphones, and we were all using slow dialup modems, in order to have a picture you needed access to a scanner which was an expensive bit of kit back in those days and even a small digital image (under 100kb) would take about 10 minutes to download!
