How far are you willing to travel for a meet?

How long do you need to be chatting before the trust is there so that you travel to them?

Prefer 30-40 if I’m the only one travelling and going to their place.

I did an hour once and the sex was shit so I refuse to go that far again.

For a person I can truly connect with, as far as necessary. My thought is that for long distances, I can make a weekend out if it, and see somewhere new at the same time as meeting that person. I like to visit new places.

Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight

When it takes from home a minimum of 1 1/2 to get to the mainland ports and a minimum of £60 you can see why most of our meets are in parties or clubs, expect IoW ones obviously.

Though we have made this journey for adorable couples we've meet and stayed overnight, usually with more costs, but they are the type who REALLY tickle our pickle.

I can't find anyone I'm interested in withing 45 mins Would love to have some closer friends.

For the right person, and the right meet I'm happy to travel anywhere. I like seeing new places and so make the longer journeys into day trips away, so really doesn't matter so much if they drop out.

I’ve never put a limit on distance. The further away the harder it is to stand and you have to be more certain you both want to meet

If the right person is at the other end then distance isn't an issue. Obviously it easier closer to home but easier doesn't mean better does it?

"I’ve never put a limit on distance. The further away the harder it is to stand and you have to be more certain you both want to meet"

Yes Although I wouldn’t travel, I’d never let someone down when a plan had been agreed for them to come to me. Doing that to someone would be the height of shite!

I’ve always looked a distance the same regardless of who was travelling. And yes that would be a shit thing to do but you hear of it so often

I am sticking locally these days. It's not that I'd never travel but they would need to be really close and consistent for me to decide to go to them. Someone from approx. 2 hours away wants to come to see me in new year. I made sure he has other reasons to visit here because if things don't work out I won't feel bad. We spoke on the video chat though so that reduce the likeness of things not working out

Distance is not an issue if I really like someone, you can always meet halfway if need be. I don’t ‘do’ local anyway I prefer there to be at least 30 miles distance.

I've flown to England over a period of a few years but I don't have either the time or inclination to travel more than an hour each way now. If I'm meeting someone from further away I expect then to make the same effort and meet halfway.

Previous experience has taught me that the level of expectation is increased with distance. It's not always the person travelling who feels the journey has to have a particular outcome.

For someone I know well and trust, I can travel. i went to NYC in 2019… well, we went, but he was at the front of the plane.

If I am really interested, I invest time and effort and travel. But for a first social I tend to keep it fairly local, or go to London as it is close, anonymous and fun…

No distance is off limits really, if we are interested and we trust the person/people then why not? It's just the logistics and time due to family and work commitments that may cause the issue.

As for building the trust, as long as we are comfortable and the person/people can verify themselves that's a good base to start from.

Nothing more than an 1/2 hour away, probably 45 minutes but that isn't exception to the rule.

With me the more I chat to someone the more I go off them. So anything more than 5/6 message in and you are not on your way the chance are it's not going to happen. X
