"I have a closer friends birthday to celebrate, other than that I’m going to keep it relatively dry I think."
What will you swap the alcohol for? I've got a soda stream, so i tend to have fizzy water with cordial |

"I can't guarantee it will be completely dry but I'll do my best.
How much do you typically drink in a week? "
Not very much, I'll go without for a couple of weeks then have about 6 in one week. It depends what comes up.
December was a bad month for drinking. |

I always start the year off with good intentions ....never lasts though and as my new year's resolution is to party hard at least once a month then I'll struggle to be completely dry
That said I'll cut out all the Swift's halfs and save my self for a big night out every now and then |

Nope... for me it means no alcohol and trying to eat non-processed, whole foods - as raw as possible
It also means getting back into the gym and setting /achieving some goals |

In essence it's fresh air, exercise and raw food...are you going out to pasture? |

The correct term would be ‘hiatus’. Quitting suggests a permanence, which would be precluded by the aforementioned planned resumption.

Dryish
Drier than December.
Probably just a glass or two of wine on Saturday night.
Part of “these troosers safe too fucking tight, and I’m not buying bigger ones” January.
... eat a bit better, drink a bit less, exercise a bit more, less nights out. Nothing drastic, but keep it up for jan and Feb and get SOMETHING out of those shitty winter months |

Never see the dry January thing as possible as most people have a drink to toast the NY.
So you already break it.
I did dry Feb a couple of years ago.
Now I am 90%dry so not an issue. |

It is possible (DRY NYD)by not having a drink on NYE. |
