Do you love them/hate them?

I used to hate them and found them very boring and uninteresting.

I’ve started listening to Someone Knows Something and it’s awesome

What’s your recommendations for podcasts?

Is it something I should be doing?

I tried one once and couldn’t be arsed after that. It never really took off for me.

Podcasts are a godsend. Listening to what ever interests you at that time and not waiting for radio or tv time tablings.....

Wouldn't be without them

It’s finding the ones that fit you and your personality… and not everyone is going to like the same stuff…

I love finding a good podcast… one that interests me topic wise and can get humour out of it…

I could name a ton I would love.. but others just would not get!

Another vote for Bed Hoppers.

Big fan of David Tennant's podcast, the banter he has with his guests is great.

Mrs R really likes Chart Music, which goes into the charts on a certain date. It does go into - I believe she said one episode was over four hours long!

If I'm listening to something, it's usually in the background while I'm doing something else so never really got into the whole podcast thing.

The only ones I hear about are usually crap celebrities trying to sound like they're such fun etc.

West Wales and Cardiff

I don’t listen to them much, but I was totally blown away and horrified by Shreds.

Being from there, I thought I knew everything there was to know about the miscarriage of justice involving the Cardiff Three. Hearing much more of the tapes, and much more about the background, was incredible.

A totally shocking, shameful tale of police corruption (I say that as someone who isn’t “anti-police” in general).

I've listened to a couple but a lot seem terribly self indulgent, sometimes it feels like I'm involved in a phone conversation with someone who keeps turning away to talk to someone else or a verbal version of Tik Tok or YouTube. I think I'd have enjoyed them more if they were edited better or maybe I've been listening to the wrong ones

I think that is where you have to find your own way because what may appeal to you might not to someone else….

For example I love the abrasive nature of bill burr than a lot of the other podcasts mentioned… the bodega boys I get and love for comedy out of the states where I know others would say WTF

I think the way to look at podcasts if to pick a topic that interests you or someone you like… then find something that fits you… because no 2 podcasts on the same topic are the same…

There are some topical satire I love, where some I hate, same on football, even down to some on Arsenal!

People may disagree. But i do very much reccommend JRE/ Joe Rogan Experience. Especially the older ones

He has had on such a massive variety of people you will find somone one you like. From scientists, rock climbers, politicians and comedians and everything inbetween. From Bernie Sanders to Mike Tyson or Tom Delonge

Duncan Trussell, Bill Burr, Alex Jones and Tim Dillon are great for sheer enjoyment. People like Dan Carlin, Mike Baker and Neil DeGrasse Tyson are good for more grown up topics

You're probably right Fabio. I have the patience of an irritable, hungry bear when it comes to things like this though which is why I like radio, I don't get a choice it's there, I listen or change station.

Love a good pod - easy to listen and learn something on the go. My go-to podcasts are

The Tim Ferriss Show

My First Million

Joe Rogan Experience

New addition:

Mark Bell's Power Project

Someone mentioned Dan Carlin . I quite enjoyed Dan Carlin Hardcore histories - Wrath of the Khans. 4-5 episodes but great story.

I don't listen to all episodes for all podcasts. If the notes pique my interest, I listen a bit and if that goes well, I listen the full episode else I move on pretty quickly.

Same with audiobooks.

I tend to avoid any audio (music, pod, audiobook) in the morning . Want to keep my clear of any outside voice and just focus inwards. Works well for me
