A fully homemade dinner of turkey, honey & mustard pigs in blankets, roast potatoes, roast parsnips, brussel sprouts fried in butter with garlic and bacon, cara_elised carrots, and yorkshire puddings. Then it was Christmas pudding, sticky toffee pudding, rum sauce or cream.

Followed by a selection of chocolate mints and malteaser truffles and coffee.

I was very happy how it went as it was the very first Christmas dinner that I've ever made.

Yay, this is brilliant to read! Impressed the sticky toffee puddings weren't eaten before then.

I only did sides this year...

Rosemary and garlic roasted potatoes.

Honey, cumin and chilli glazed roasted carrots and parsnips.

Parmesan roasted Brussel sprouts. Roasted mushrooms.

Celeriac dauphinoise (had a celeriac sitting in the fridge, didn't know what to do with it, took a chance on a dauphinoise and it blew everyone's bloody socks off )

Also tried making red cabbage with apples and onion but burnt the lot

For dessert I made a strawberry tart from scratch with sweet sablé pastry and crème pâtissiere. Would die for that tart
