Is on its way into space. Hopefully will see galaxies way back from the early universe.
Are we the only life looking into the void?
So many questions. Hopefully we will find many more answers… |

It’s incredible the engineering and design. The whole telescope unfolds like origami, through hundreds of release mechanisms that have to work perfectly, or the whole thing won’t work if one fails. |

Are we the only life???
Simple maths dictates that we were not in the past/currently not/won't be in the future alone.
How you delete as applicable for those 3 choices I'm not sure!

Maths hasn’t yet proved life exists anywhere else. |

I think we are alone unfortunately. I know there is an abundance of planets orbiting stars in the Goldilocks Zone but I think the universe is all for us.
The Anthropic Principle.

One reason given for the long time it will take before we get any data from James Webb is that each of the dozen or so reflectors needs to be fine adjusted to focus on the receiver. The motors that do this task spin so slowly that the panels will each move at the same rate that grass grows.

"What happens if they spot an alien on another planet holding up a placard that says “shove off and stop being so nosey!”?
I'd love to see a alien peer into the lens "
Both options preferable to an alien tennis court sized telescope crash landing on earth |
