Nothing to do with swinging! Ha ha but… can any plant lovers out there tell me why, suddenly one by one, the flowers are dying on my beautiful white orchid?? also, what can I do to help it & will it bloom again?

Thanks

If you keep it in a dark place but keep it watered, it should get some new buds on and re-flower.

Good luck x

I wonder whether there is an element of luck with orchids. I am saying this because I now have 4 different orchids on my kitchen window sill, very bright place! I was given them 4 resp 3 years ago and all 4 flower often and in a big way and I do not do anything other than water them occasionally. I have not replanted them, added anything to the soil or water... I put it down to a bit of luck.

I have lots of orchids. They like full sun but not to be too warm. The roots that grow outside of the pot take in water and the leaves actually store water. If the leaves look lined and floppy then its under watered. The flowers will drop and if the stem dries up them remove it so that a new flower will grow. Mine are all currently in the process of growing a new leaf each and a new flower stem. Hope this helps
