Have you got a timer on your photo app? Get your phone balanced on books /cushions. Use the front facing camera.. Try some poses until you are confident /happy (have a tidy up if you need to) ... Then use the timer so you can get back in your pose
Check the background afterwards and crop any distractions out |

I find timers to still be tricky, it’s far easier to leave your phone taking a video, try out a few poses you like, and remember to hold them long enough so you get a clear enough still image, then use screen shots of the video. If you can’t think what to take, then there are great Reddit subs with good ideas if you use Reddit, and if not just look at what other people have done and copy theirs |

Yeah good tip..although i can't get a focused shot from a video.. But i know my lightning is very challenging
Another thought is setting the vocal control on.. You can yell 'cheese' at the camera and it will take a photo (can use it with the timer too!) |

I record a video and take stills from it. What I do is hold poses like you are having a photo taken. Slowly turn, move and hold, so when it comes to scrolling through the video nothing is out of focus |

If photos are something you’re likely to do more often. A remote shutter and and tripod on Amazon are extremely cheap and a game changer for selfies . Failing that, I know people who take a video and screenshot a good angle from the video. |

Felt like a contortionist taking photos before I got a remote shutter! Lol
Definitely worth the money and actually gave me a love for photography so much so, I now have a DSLR and trying to learn how to use it |
