But first, when washing the bedding - do you button the duvet cover up before putting it in the wash or leave it to become more tangled with the sheet/pillow cases than the earphones living in your pocket?

I button. I also have completly white sets so everything can go in one wash load.

No I don’t, that sounds like a hassle.

But I do do inside-out concealed buttoning if the duvet cover is designed that way.
