Recently bought a telescope as interested in the Planets and Stars. Hopefully will be able to explore the dark skies of the Peak District in 2022

Love astrophysics. I've yet to find a decent affordable telescope. My current one barely focuses in on my neighbours tits with any precision never mind Polaris.

Love looking at the night sky… makes me feel so small…. Amazing to see other planets so far away.

I love stargazing and astrophotography too but I rarely get chance to be up all night as am at work every day.

I like looking up and knowing other people on the other side of the world can pretty much see the same thing. Helps me feel closer to long distance family.

Canvey Island

Got a few photos of the stars etc. Love stargazing etc.

See if you can spot the Seven Sisters, they’re quite faint!

"Would you show us the ring of Uranus OP? "

Well, you live and learn. Apparently "Uranus has two sets of rings. The inner system of nine rings consists mostly of narrow, dark grey rings. There are two outer rings: the innermost one is reddish like dusty rings elsewhere in the solar system, and the outer ring is blue like Saturn's E ring"

So Uranus has a rusty ring ....

Worthing

Good place as there will be less light pollution. If you can, get a Barlow Lens (nothing to do with Ken!). Jupiter should be visible for a while in the Southern Sky.

I’ve got a telescope too. It’s very basic but I’ve been able to see the moon very close up

Funnily enough whilst having a clear out today I found a HUGE wall poster of the planets and stars

I’ve left it out to get it framed ….

Ive got reflector telescope, great fun its worth buying 1 or 2 decent eye pieces(about £50 each) makes a lot of difference as manufacturers just put basic eyepieces in telescope kits. Into astrophotograhy too,the after shot processing bit tricky.
