So I was talking to someone and they wanted to chat on WhatsApp, so I agreed and we started chatting. She asked me for some pictures, I’m sure you can all guess what kind. So I asked if she could just prove she was who she claims to be before I send anything like that. She seemed shocked and then laughed claiming to be verified 17 times on fab. Then blocked me after I said reviews can be faked.
So my question is, was I right to be cautions or should I have more confidence in fab reviews?
FYI only 2 of the 17 versifications actually had comments to them.

you are right not to send explicit pictures to someone via any medium if you don't want to and you aren't 100% sure who they are.
I can't say whether the person was genuine or not but if they want that kind of stuff from you and aren't prepared to give you some reassurance that they're genuine I think you've done the best thing |

Definitely cautions it that respect, before exchanging numbers for WhatsApp make sure they are who they say they are, the problem with fab there’s a lot of fake profiles, you were definitely right for asking but it goes to show the some genuine people on here and fake |

Thanks everyone, I felt like it was suspicious how they reacted but theres also the FOMO aspect if they where genuine. Is it common for fake profiles to have verifications? |

Veris are not that hard to fake I suppose. But also the fact they blocked is not certainty that they were fake. There are entitled muppets as well as fakers here too! |

You should have asked before giving her your number really, considering you have a naked picture on your profile I don’t see why you only asked her when she wanted you to send more pictures. I never exchange numbers with someone unless I’m totally confident they’re genuine. |

their actions don't necessarily mean they're fake. People with loads of verifications and no pictures of their own often ask us if they can see our private pictures, we always refuse. Out of interest what did you fear you would be missing out on? In the nicest way possible don't let your dick rule your head

If 17 verifications were from 17 different profiles that had also been verified multiple times then the chances are they are genuine.
All 17 verifications by the same person who has only been verified by 1 faceless profile then that’s a bit more suspicious. |

I've heard that once someone gets a first verification, they can upload as many profiles as they like, and cross verify. Once you feel confident about someone though suggest a phone call, and if it's a single woman, or a couple reluctant to have their number widely known, offer them the opportunity where they can call you withholding their number. Trust has to start somewhere, if they vanish into cyberspace you can bet your sweet life that they were fake. |

I can see this from both sides.
You wanted assurances and they felt that you were accusing them of being fake, it happens.
Whenever people start chatting, there’s a period where you’re both trying to get clarity and assurances, checking off the big items on your list of red flags. It only takes one small misstep and ‘block’! Irrespective of whether you’re genuine or not.
It sounds like you were both a touch hasty in your approaches and reactions. It’s sad but it happens |

I don't cam but I'm not fake, everyone is entitled to their own choices but doesn't mean they are fake.
The OP is questioning his actions, If he's blocked it doesn't mean they are fake but probably a good outcome if the woman is flaky about providing him with reassurance. |

 What a ridiculous statement.
There are many profiles on here who won’t cam, including ourselves.
Does that make us all fake?
Too many rush to take chat off the site at a very early stage. A bit more caution goes a long way. |
