does any one else think there should be some facility on this site to find out who the repeated time wasters are. who else is fed up arranging meets only to be sat there waiting for a no show. there must be something that can be done as this is making a lot of good people want to leave the site. |

It has been discussed before, to death, in the site feedback forum, the conclusion was there are no foolproof ways to prevent users setting up multiple accounts and escaping 'timewaster' status. You can get more info by checking out the feedback forum or using the forum search function to find keywords relating to the debate. |

In simple terms one has to be more vigilant in ones meets .
If folk have no valid verifications and have been on here more than 3 months they are more likely than not gonna waste your time .
Naming and shaming just leads to vindictive behaviour and accounts will be deleted and restarted .
Perhaps a reasonable monthly charge should be put in place to stop timewasters doing it for free ?

how about some kind of flag system that Appears on your profile to indicate that you.re attending a meet that day. if both parties meet they both get a green flag. red flags could be issued for a no show. ebay have a perfect system for good and bad sellers using their feedback system. couldn't we have a similar system to replace the Verifications. ? |

EBay system I'd not perfect, I know people who rip sellers off by putting in false non delivery claims. Same abuse would happen on here, people claiming that others didn't show up if they felt like it for whatever reason.
Sadly there is no way of getting rid of time wasters, although saying that I can count on one hand the number of no shows I've had in just over 3 years |

Sadly any system would be too open to vindictive abuse - probably by those timewasters themselves!
More care with selection, vetting, pre meet communication and paying close attention to veri's and feedback should cut down timewasters and failed meets to a minimum.
Anyone regularly suffering seriously needs to re_iew their selection criteria - and don't ever let a horny urge make you make rash decisions. Apply the same care - camming or a quick call - whether it's a meet planned long in advance or a same day spur of the moment event!
Sorry you're having trouble - but it is easily avoided - trust me! |

So the other day I arranged to meet someone, we both showed up, just didn't recognise each other. We both left thinking the other a time waster. |

"just brand them......"
Lol, bit harsh ....
Not been on here too long but reading everyones posts it seems there's no way round this because the time wasters can just close their profile and open another .
There will always be the idiots who abuse the system and what ever idea you come up with they'll find a way round it . |

Personally, I always wear a carnation (the tin of milk, not the flower) and carry a copy of The Sally Army's "Young Soldier" mag - have found most meets recognise me from this so long as I haven't been picked up by the "Care in the Community" lot and taken back to the Home for the Terminally Bewildered |

Personally in five years I've yet to encounter a timewaster. If it got to the stage where it was a frequent occurrence I'd have to reevaluate my selection process.
If it got to the point it was affecting me to the point I needed to start (another) thread about timewasters - I'd leave. |

Think of it like a night out, you could visit a night club every weekend for 6 weeks and only pull on one night, we've arranged 5 meets in the last two weeks to only have 1 turn up...swings and round abouts, such is life, take it with a pinch of....and all those other cliques....i'd like to say only look at meeting those that have had verification within the last X amount of weeks but we've met alot of genuine people that haven't been verified yet or have chosen not to show them. |

If repeat threads bother you so much why reply with (another) comment? As pointless as the repeat thread I'd say |

"this is making a lot of good people want to leave the site."
How many "good people" did you ask? How did you determine they are "good people"? What percentage of your respondents stated this issue wants to make them leave the site? If they want to leave the site, why don't they? |

Just to echo what others have said; there is no way of preventing time-wasters from coming on here and doing what they do best.
However, there are obvious signatures of time-wasters:
On here for 3+ months and no verifications, not even photo verified.
Refuses to send a face picture after talking for a bit.
Refuses to swap numbers and talk on the phone.
Sporadic messaging - probably message when horny and then nothing when they're not.
A poorly written profile with minimal pictures most likely just dick pics. Something that says 'will fill in later' is screaming time-waster.
Not able to give a clear answer as to when is best to meet.
I estimate that there must be ~ 70% time-wasters on here from talking with other people but if you use some of the checks above then it may just save your precious time.
I know it has worked for me as I've not had any of my valuable time wasted in ~ a year on here! |

"There's a very simple solution stop crying over spilt milk "
Too right. You could never come with an unbiased, virtually-foolproof way of highlighting timewasters.
How could you possibly verify if the reason given for not turning up is true or not? And the 'jilted' party may regard it as timewasting, but the cancelling person/cpl may regard it as just one more hurdle that has to be overcome.
Just chill out and move on..... but LEARN from it and ask the right questions BEFORE a meet next time to lessen the chance of a blow out (and increase those of a blow job.... ah, saw that one coming didn't cha.... )

I think this is a bit harsh,we have only one verification so far but we have been trying to set up meets for the last six weeks with no success due to work. Becky and I work different hours, and becky works alternating weekends, i myself work as a doorman so im needed at work most weekends which is when most couples
prefer to meet, and even if things have worked out perfect for us by chance and both becky and myself are both off with the next day off then it still has to be perfect timing for the other couple which so far it hasn't been, but not for the want of trying. |

Agree with you. Just because someone hasn't got any veris after 3 months does not make them a timewaster, although there does have to be some consideration of the time spent on here with either no veris or none by meeting. Certainly if someone has been on here for 6-12 months with nothing to show, you have to question it, but you can't apply an inflexible 'rule' across the board - everyone's situation is different and hence what they are able to do or want to do in the world of swinging changes too. |

Yeah you can't put time on site as an indicator of people being a timewaster.
I took a year to get my first meet on here due to people's negative attitudes to people with no verifications and i've not wasted anyone's time. Luckily now I have some verifications so don't get branded in that 'no meets' group anymore. |

just report them as the site suggests and let admin deal, there is often 3 sides to a story.
sadly people bring their rants onto the forum rather than deal with it privately |
